How to Measure Your Companion

Support Harnesses

Use a flexible measuring tape while your dog stands naturally.

Chest Girth: Measure around the widest part of the ribcage, directly behind the front legs.
Neck Girth: Measure around the base of the neck where a collar naturally sits.
Waist: Measure just in front of the hind legs for rear-lift models.

Mobility Wheelchairs

Measurements can be taken with your dog resting gently on their side.

Hind Leg Height: Measure from the top of the hip/groin crease down to the bottom of the paw pad.
Hip Width: Measure the widest point across your pet's hips or pelvis.
Body Length: Measure from the back of the front shoulder to the base of the tail.

Joint Braces & Collars

Ensure adequate slack for breathing comfort and normal circulation.

Knee & Hock Braces: Measure leg circumference 2 inches above and 2 inches below the joint.
Recovery Collars: Measure neck circumference keeping two fingers between tape and neck.
Between Sizes: We recommend selecting the larger size for adjustable straps.

Can my dog go to the toilet while wearing a harness or wheelchair? +

Yes, absolutely. Every wheelchair and support harness in the ArsePets range is thoughtfully engineered with an open hygiene design. Both male and female dogs can relieve themselves completely naturally without needing the gear to be taken off.

What are your Australian shipping rates and delivery times? +

We offer Free Standard Shipping across Australia on all orders over $99 AUD. Orders under $99 AUD ship for a flat rate of $9.95 AUD. Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–2 business days, with standard transit taking 3–7 business days. Express shipping is also available at checkout for urgent recovery needs.

What if my pet is between sizes on the chart? +

For harnesses, collars, and braces, we generally recommend sizing up so you can adjust the straps snugly without constricting your pet's breathing or blood flow. For wheelchairs, telescoping height, width, and length struts allow several centimeters of fine-tuning within each size range.

How do I help my pet get used to their new mobility gear? +

Patience and positive reinforcement are key. Start by letting your pet sniff the equipment and receive treats. Begin with short 5 to 10-minute sessions on flat grass or familiar indoor rugs. Most pets understand within 3 to 7 days that the equipment relieves their joint pain and gives them their freedom back.

How do I return or exchange an item? +
